Rane Bowen worked for many years in the IT world, but has been a long time student of yoga and meditation. He has also dabbled in the Martial Arts, Qi Gong and Tai Chi.
in early 2015, at the age of 43 he heard the three words no one wants to hear: “You have cancer”.
Rane endured months of chemotherapy, a terminal (mis)diagnosis, and then finally his stomach was removed in October 2015. Rane believes that his regular yoga and meditation practice was instrumental in coping with his treatment, and for his rapid recovery. This was further enhanced after having a profound experience at a week long Gawler Foundation meditation retreat. He now wishes to share his practice with the world, and help other people gain a new subtle awareness of their minds and bodies.
Rane practices and teaches a joyful, fun and secular mindfulness practice which incorporates light body movement that comes from the worlds of Yoga and Qi-Gong.
He teaches meditation classes regularly at Garden of Yoga
Rane blogs regularly, and can be contacted via his website: http://ranelovesyoga.com.au or emailed at firstname.lastname@example.org
Rane is honoured to have been asked to present at the International Yoga Festival at Kuwai Purapura, Auckland, New Zealand February 2017
Rane is an awesome teacher. From the first moment he created a relaxed, happy space that helped me as a beginner. He shows a natural passion and enthusiasm for what he is teaching and exudes the beliefs in the benefits through all he does. He helped me realise that I had a natural ability that just needed to be practiced, setting me at ease from the first class. His classes are now an essential part of my routine that helps me deal with the world in a positive state of mind.
